Equipment development tailored to cost advantage
ZECT, developed by Cataler, is a production facility capable of coating with quality and cost advantages. ZECT comprises elemental technologies such as slurry property stabilization technology, separation technology and flattening technology to ensure constant catalyst application. In addition, this equipment is highly versatile and is used for many products.
*ZECT (Zero Emission Coat & Quick Calculation with Traceability)
This is Cataler's unique catalyst production equipment, which started mass production in 2007. The equipment, made possible by the acquisition of technology that allows free control of the viscosity of various slurries, uses a method that applies the entire target slurry weight.
*Slurry
Slurry: A dense suspension of fine solid particles mixed in a liquid in a stable state.
High price competitiveness achieved through phased capital investment
In addition to the coating process (ZECT), which is superior in terms of 'quality' and 'cost', Cataler focuses on 'scalable facilities that allow phased investment' to maintain flexible production capacity in line with customer demand trends at each CATALER Group site. Equipment is being developed with the aim of being rolled out to all Cataler Group production sites by 2025, providing customers worldwide with high-quality, ever more affordable products.
Equipment development that meets customer needs
The Cataler Group has production bases in 8 countries (as of 2021). Since customers and products at each production site are different, the customer's needs and production scale are not always the same at all sites. As a result, the operating rate of the equipment at each base varies depending on the production volume. In other words, bases with low operating rates may not be able to secure profits. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize production equipment. As innovative equipment development, Cataler is designing production equipment in minimum units and is developing mass production equipment that can be flexibly reconfigured to ensure that the investment will not be wasted in the future.
