We have established the ”Cataler Group Sustainability Guidelines" so that each and every one of us, while connecting with the stakeholders and society, can act appropriately as a member of a global company which has its management philosophy.

Here are some numbers that give a concrete idea of the social responsibility that Cataler fulfills.
Number of exhaust gas purification catalysts produced
Exhaust gas purifying catalyst that began shipping in 1979. So far, we have produced more than 600 million units (for 4-wheeled vehicles + 2-wheeled vehicles and general-purpose engines).
The number of quality awards received over the past 5 years (FY 2017-2022).
Cataler has received many awards for "quality" from customers. In 2018, we won the Deming Grand Prize, which is awarded to companies and offices that have achieved excellent results in total quality management (TQM). The Deming Grand Prize is awarded to organizations that have been practicing TQM continuously for more than 3 years since receiving the Deming Prize, and are recognized as making the most of TQM's unique characteristics, and improving and developing its standards.
More than 20% women hired as new graduates
At Cataler, we are promoting the creation of a workplace where women can play an active role with the "more than 20% women hired as new graduates each year" as one of our goals. There are some differences in gender ratio depending on the type of job, but looking at by department, we find that there is a department in which the proportion of women exceeds 40%, revealing the fact that Cataler has a place where everyone can play an active role regardless of gender.
Childcare leave return rate: 100%
The rate of women returning to work from childcare leave refers to the percentage of female employees who returned to work after taking childcare leave to raise their children after childbirth. Cataler has an amazing 100% return rate for female employees who have given birth. At Cataler, we strive to create a work environment that allows experienced employees to balance childcare and work by providing flexible support and support systems tailored to each individual's situation.
Corporate governance
In order for a corporate organization to operate soundly and efficiently, it is important to have mechanisms and systems in place such as control and monitoring, i.e. corporate governance. Cataler ensures proper corporate governance by establishing a general meeting of shareholders, a board of directors, auditors, and accounting auditors. We have also established various committees such as the "Internal Control Committee" and the "Export Trade Control Committee" to discuss important matters, check business execution, and enhance internal audit functions.
