Quality guidelines
In addition to guidelines that are common to all products and services, Cataler has developed regulations and standards that are tailored to the characteristics of its products and services and the requirements of its customers.
The "Quality Guidelines" set out our approach to putting into practice one of Cataler's management principles: "Contribute to customer satisfaction and the creation of a prosperous society through provision of advanced technologies and products aimed at better harmony between people and the environment".
The Cataler Group will continue to provide products and services that are high quality, safe, and functionally advanced to satisfy our customers. For this reason, we regard "quality" as the foundation of our company, and have established these guidelines so that we can have a common understanding on a global scale.
Continuous improvement for customer satisfaction
As well as providing defect-free products on time, the company puts the customer first, and promotes the provision of new technologies and products along with the continuous improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes.
Promotion of own-process completion (*)
Based on the concept of "quality is built into the process", we are building product quality and operational quality, and strengthening cooperation between front-end and back-end processes right up to the customer.
Own-process completion
This is an initiative aimed at "being able to judge the quality of work on the spot" by adding a scientific approach in order to ensure that Toyota Motor Corporation's policy of "quality is built into the process" is put into practice.
Maintain and improve IATF16949 (*) Quality Management System
We hold IATF Quality Management System Certification that earns the trust of our customers, and promote continuous improvement and evolution.
IATF16949
IATF is an acronym for "International Automotive Task Force", and is a quality management system standard for preventing defects in products and services in the automotive industry, and reducing deviations and waste.
IATF16949 defines the quality management system requirements for (1) prevention of defects, (2) reduction of deviations and waste in the supply chain, and (3) continuous improvement, and all Cataler Group bases have acquired this certification. (*)

Continuous improvement and increasing customer value
Cataler acquired "ISO9001" and "QS9000" certification in 1997. With the acquisition of this certification, the company introduced Total Quality Management (TQM) to improve manufacturing quality (Phase 1), revolutionary reduction of deviations through new manufacturing methods (Phase 2), and reforms focused on quality management (Phase 3).
Since 2018, we have strengthened our “Quality Management for Sustainable Success” (Phase 4), and are working to continue creating and providing value that exceeds customer expectations.

Receiving this award is the highest honor for an organization that has a long history of practicing quality management.
Deming Prize (awarded in 2015)
The Deming Prize is the world's highest-ranked TQM award, established in 1951 to commemorate the work of the late Dr. William Edwards Deming (1900-1993), who generalized statistical quality control in postwar Japan, and helped raise the quality of Japanese products to world-class standards.
