Safety guidelines
Ensuring the safety and health of employees is fundamental to all corporate activities and should be valued. A workplace where everyone can work with vitality and security is a place where good products and services can be provided. At Cataler, labor and management work together to maintain and improve the working environment.
Preventing occupational accidents through labor-management cooperation
We are working to raise the safety awareness of all employees through meetings at each level of safety and health, including the Safety and Health Committee, which is made up of labor and management. We regularly inspect our own workplace safety, equipment safety, construction safety, etc., and continue to make improvements.
Compliance with relevant laws and company rules related to health and safety
In addition to complying with all laws, regulations and ordinances related to safety and health, we have established internal rules to ensure equipment safety, work safety and walking safety, and actively promote safety activities.
- ・Establishment of installation standards for safety fences, emergency stops, control methods, etc. ・Preparation of standards for work postures, weight restrictions, etc. ・Establishment of walking lanes and walking rules ・Initiatives to minimize forklift use
Continuous improvement and enhancement of the safety and health management system
In order to implement and promote safety and health activities more effectively, we systematically implement continuous improvements (*).
- Examples of continuous improvements
- (1) Activities to reduce the risk level by carrying out risk assessments based on work procedures (2) Preventive activities through permanent measures and review of standards based on reports of near-miss incidents that almost resulted in injury or accidents during work (3) Activities to prevent similar accidents through rapid dissemination of work accident information inside and outside the Company (domestic and overseas)
Initiatives for occupational safety
In order to prevent work-related accidents, we carry out risk assessments for each work procedure, equipment, and chemical, and take countermeasures. In addition, before construction or non-routine work, we carry out "hazard prediction activities (this is called KY in Japanese, but has the same meaning as Tool Box Meeting)" at each time to prevent accidents. We regularly patrol construction contractors, and focus on activities to prevent accidents not only for employees but also for the whole premises. We also share safety information with our affiliated companies and suppliers, and work together with them to perform a wide range of safety activities.
When an industrial accident or traffic accident occurs, we horizontally disseminate the information and investigate similar locations. The entire company considers this as its own matter and works on permanent countermeasures and prevention of recurrence. We utilize IT tools to deploy this information in a timely manner with our overseas subsidiaries and conduct surveys of similar locations. We hold regular global meetings to share "knowledge" and "countermeasures" throughout the Group, and strive to ensure safety on a global scale.

Mental and physical health is a driving force for employees to thrive.
