Coordination complex
A coordination complex is a chemical compound consisting of a metallic element and other substances surrounding the element. A coordination complex refers to a complex consisting of a metallic ion and ligands coupled with the ion. It is known that, depending on the type of metal and ligand, the complex takes various structures, such as Linear for two-coordination, Square planar for four-coordination, and Octahedral for six-coordination.
