SDGs
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are international goals for a sustainable and better world by 2030. The SDGs are listed in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted at the United Nations Summit and the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015, succeeding the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) established in 2001. Consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets, it pledges to “leave no one behind” on earth. The SDGs are universal not only for emerging countries but also for developed countries, and Japan is also actively working on them.
